“In life you need either inspiration or desperation.” – Anthony Robbins
Put in other words, the inertia is such a heavy burden on us that, to move forward, we need the carrot or the whip.
It’s our nature: either running towards something you desperatly desire, or to escape something. You are moved either by the pursuit of pleasure or the avoidance of pain.
It’s good to be satisfied with our life, enjoy the achievements, celebrate what we have, do and are. And no matter how much we have achieved, it must be celebrated.
But the celebration has an hour to start and to finish. “After the party, it’s your head”, after the celebration, hard work. Don’t be grasping the inertia of the comfort zone more than a day or two. Excite yourself or despair yourself rapidly and progress.
There are so many things to do, have and be, that even if you don’t stop for one second you will be never complete.
