“Often, a person meets his destiny on the road chosen to avoid it.” – Jean de La Fontaine
I don’t know, because I didn’t count, the number of times precisely what I didn’t want to happen, happened, but the result was precisely the one I desired. So often that I wonder if this is not some law of nature, an odd law written streight on crooked lines.
It seems to be true the idea that “the why” of our choices is up to us, and the choice itself “the what.” The “how” is not in our hands. It is a set of unlikely circumstances brought about in our direction to which we can only say “yes” or “no” and thereby achieve our dreams or not.
The difficult part is to say “yes”, I think, because the realization of a dream changes us a lot and there are many of us who are so afraid of change that they aren’t even able to work for a dream, but don’t let the the dream work them.
